Tonight, I finally got to experience, first hand, the absolute splendour that is Mozart's Requiem Mass. The concert was held in Trinity College's Public theatre which I must say is a very beautiful and fitting venue.
The power of the mass was multiplied ten-fold, as the acoustics of the hall really brought out the music, especially the choir. I never knew that music could have such an effect as when I witnessed this in person. There was also the bonus performances of Mozart's Mass in C as well as the overture from "Die Zauberflöte", which is one of my favourite pieces of all time.
I would reccommend a live performance to any lover of classical or emotionally stirring music. Maybe even those who are not fans of such music will be made to realize what true music really is.
